Reflexive verbs in Dutch

Some verbs in Dutch are reflexive.

Examples are:

  • zich herinneren (to remember)

  • Hij herinnert zich zijn jeugd.

  • zich vergissen (to be mistaken)

  • Ik vergis me.

  • zich vervelen (to be bored)

  • Je verveelt je.

  • zich haasten (to hurry)

  • Ik haast me.

  • zich aankleden (to get dressed - this verbs is seperable)

  • Wij kleden ons aan.

  • zich ___ voelen (to feel - an emotion/state)

  • Ik voel me goed.

As you can see, the verb is combined with a reflexive pronoun. Look at the table below for the reflexive pronoun for each person.
